The Jewish National Fund was founded in 1926.

? MISSION STATEMENT

The Jewish National Fund in the United States raises funds for a number of Israeli organizations. The largest single recipient is the Keren Kayemat L'Yisrael. The Keren Kayemet L'Yisrael in Israel is the caretaker of the land of Israel, on behalf of its owners - Jewish people everywhere. The organization has planted over 210 million trees, built over 100 dams and reservoirs, developed over 250,000 acres of land, and created more than 400 parks throughout Israel enhancing the quality of life for all of Israel's citizens.

Governance and Staffing

? CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Russell F. Robinson, Chief Executive Officer

Robinson joined JNF as CEO in 1997. Prior to that, he spent much of his career in the United Jewish Appeal (UJA). He served as director of UJA campaigns for El Paso Texas, assistant regional director in Dallas, director of western operations for Project Renewal, vice president of the UJA Network and finally director of the National UJA campaign. He began his career as youth director at the local Jewish Community Center where he worked to include Holocaust education in the public schools. Robinson and his wife Marci have two children, Sam and Alyssa.
